There are many successful marketing tips which will increase your sales.
The trick is to implement them. These five techniques are all easy to use and effective in building your business.
Successful Marketing Tip #1 - Do something different
Each time you try a different product or service, you’ve created another opportunity for sales. For example, if you’ve been manufacturing widgets in black, white and red, and decide to add a fourth color – blue, you’ve created an opportunity for increasing your sales. Adding a new product almost always produces a sales volume increase due to three things. New customers are attracted who weren’t interested in black, white or red widgets. Your existing customers who like black, white AND red widgets want your new blue widget to match the first three. You can also increase your sales by the opportunity for package offers to your customers. For instance, you can market a patriotic red, white and blue widget package.
Successful Marketing Tip #2 - Expect change
It has been said that the definition of insanity is to continue to do the same thing in the same way and expect to see different results. This is true in business as well — you must be ready and willing to change when you see rapidly changing market conditions.
Successful Marketing Tip #3 - Promote your individuality
Determine why customers who can buy red, white and blue widgets from 15 different companies should buy their widgets from you. For example, can you ship faster or at less cost? Do you provide more personal attention such as a 24-hour widget order line with live assistance? Or can you guarantee that your widgets will not contribute to holes in the ozone layer? Whatever you possess that is a unique advantage offered to your customers should be promoted in all your advertising. If prospects have a reason to do business with you, rather than with your competitors, you WILL get more sales.
Successful Marketing Tip #4 - Find ways to help
If you can answer customer questions, you have a sales opportunity each time they come to you with a question. Provide customers with free information. Offer to search out a product for them which you don’t carry. They’ll need to revisit you when the product arrives, and determining unmet needs will help you restructure your inventory as well. Help your customers accomplish tasks easier, cheaper and faster.
| Successful Marketing Tip #5 - Look for the result
Your customers don’t want your widgets; they want the image they get because they own a set of red, white and blue widgets. All your sales materials should be promoting the end result. |
